Tonight the girls let their hair down and said goodbye to their GCSEs and
hello to summer. It was a photoshoot makeover party for Annabel from Amersham
who will be sixteen and her seven friends. Teenage girls love having
professional makeup applied and being in the studio with our professional
photographers. Opinion is split as to whether the makeover or the photo shoot is
the most enjoyable!
Posing for the camera is great fun and we try to capture the personalities of our subjects in the final photographs. Makeover parties are usually a whirlwind of activity with clothes to be changed and make-up to be retouched so everyone looks fantastic in front of the camera, and our photographer shooting non-stop, and everyone, including ourselves, having a great time.

quite a difficult action and not one for the faint-hearted.
Hello Blog readers, this week I have had a super busy time with great
bookings with fabulous teenage girls and makeover parties.
A beautiful bunch of ten year old girlies came to a party today. In this instance I won’t mention names and post pictures but just have to give a little mention because it was the sweetest, loveliest, exquisite party ever! And Mum was great too – – Dear Alexa, thank you to you and your team for making xxxxxxs makeover/photo shoot such a wonderfully memorable occasion.

and they are rushing to get their parties in before their friends go on

Today we had Akira age 12 and seven lovely girls in our Penn Party studio,
willing to have lots of fun, this is the third party Akira has been to, do you
suppose she likes it here? We like it!

teenage photoshoot party. Every one of these girls had been to a previous party
– apart from the birthday girl. Lost my voice in the end, not surprising really
it’s not that I shout, just can’t get heard above the crowd. I will also lose
the use of my legs as well if I keep high-kicking like this.

I did something a little bit different today; I photographed a bicycle with
an “Engineered Birch Plywood with American Black Walnut Wooden Veneer
frame”.
This was made by Mike a local engineer. It was his latest invention – watch this spot for the next one. Perhaps I should direct him to the “Dragons Den” anyone else have any new inventions they would like to talk about? Perhaps you would like to bring them over and I’ll photograph them for you.
It certainly makes a change, my images are usually anything but wooden, and they usually answer me back!
